Abstract: The quality of analyses varies from laboratory to laboratory, and even within a given laboratory itself. Many factors can have a cumulative effect in the final product being delivered. A number of variables need to be considered when choosing your laboratory. Some of these factors should include the experience of the sampler, sample point suitability, the methods used when sampling as well as when conducting the analyses, proficiency of the analysts, and a solid quality control program.
