Abstract: There are two main factors identified as driving the evolution of liquids measurement: technology and experience. As new technologies are invented and methods devised to apply existing technologies towards liquids flow measurement, we see a shift in the product landscape from sensors to meters to flow computers. Similarly, as companies gain experience in using these products, lessons are learned and best practices are developed. This paper will present information on some of the practices and emerging trends taking place now in liquids measurement, especially as it applies to custody transfer.
