Abstract: Introduction iiience has proven that all gas measuring devices require periodic testing and perhaps preventive maintenance to insure extended meter life and sustained accuracy. Depending on the type of meter, maintenance may be in the form of lubrication, cleaning, inspection of moving parts, and parts replacement. The frequency of testing and maintenance of meters will vary, depending on Company policy, purity of the gas and gas system and Public Utility Commission regulations. It is advantageous to use meters which, by design, will minimize testing and maintenance procedures,thereby decreasing down time
