Abstract: This paper discusses a simulation technique widely used to forecast the future operation of long line transmission systems. Such Operations Forecast Models project customer sales and facility utilization given a statement of the corporations gas allocation policy and the appropriate supply, demand and facility data. The forecasts produced by such models provide much of the base line data required for numerous corporate planning decisions.
