Abstract: It would be appropriate I beligve to begin with some understanding as to my definition of a packaged system. To me it means simply that the system has certain predetermined objectives which may be material control, manpower control, vehicle and/or equipment utilization or any combination of these or similar objectives. Beyond this bare bones form, I find it difficult to attach the label of package system. The specific system to which I address myself is a manpower utilization system and in the framework of the definition given above could be considered a packaged system however, in the final form it would have to be considered a custom product designed primarily for our particular needs.
