Abstract: Gas measurement charts, along with their associated data, are processed in vast numbers daily throughout the gas industry. This information is processed by different means from one company to another. However, all companies share a common need for accuracy and speed in the handling of their gas measurement data. Texas Eastern has recognized the importance of efficient, accurate gas measurement techniques, both in the field and in the office, for some time. By employing equipment like micro chart processors and electroscanners, the Gas Accounting Section of the Measurement Department has been able to increase the number of charts processed daily without sacrificing accuracy.
