Abstract: The deniand for energy is growing tremendously in the U.S. and with it the urgent need to provide additional energy producing facilities. On the other hand, we must take every reasonable precaution to protect our environment. We have long passed the time where we can just blindly construct energy producing plants or facilities without considering the impact on the environment. Our need for energy must be somehow balanced by the care we take to protect our environment. This seems to be our main dilemma.
