Abstract: An insistent demand from the oil refineries has led to the development of meters for operation at high pressures. The same general design has been retained in these high pressure meters, but the thiclcness of metal In the covers and walls of the various parts has been greatly increased to give the necessary extra strength for high pressure service. Special stuffing boxes and other parts are used for the highest pressures. The test and working pressures of the several pressure types are listed in the following table
