This session will explore mechanics of the extraction process, gas quality and safety considerations of Coal Bed Methane Production. OVERVIEW While exploitation of coal fields for the methane gas they contain is a relatively new development, our production of natural gas from coal beds is at least a century old. In that century of coalfield-gas production, we have seen changes both in the mechanics of what we are doing to affect that production, and what we are calling what we are doing.
