Abstract: The Southern Division of the El Paso Natural Gas Company is primarily concerned with the long distance transmission of gas. This discussion will describe the Supervisory and Telemetering System of this Division. The Measurement Department has the responsibility of all sales meters and checkmeters while the Communication Department has the responsibility of the Supervisory and Teh-metering System. This paper will discuss the problems encountered special telemetering equipment the use of existing communication links, and some of the special circuits designed to enable the telemetered information to approach the accuracy of the Measurement Department.
