Abstract: The value of hydrocarbon fluids is based upon basic customer expectations for delivery of a certain amo unt of a specific product at a certain time. These are universal customer expectations that apply to all products of value . Such expectations imply a requirement for a system to facilitate product movement and quality co ntrol. The measurement process is a critical component of such a system, providing process feedback data in the f orm of quantity, flow rate, pressure, and temperature for controlling movement .
