Abstract: For the past five years, the Service Policy Task Force of the A.G.A. Customer Service Committee has made a continuing study of service policies and practices. Each year on the spring conference program we try to present a different aspect of service policy for your consideration. In 1969, there were differences of opinion and philosophies on how much service should be provided by the utility and how much should be on a paid service basis. But there was unanimous agreement on one key point Our gas utility and gas mdustry interests can be protected only to the extent that the utility and the industry can insure that its gas customers are provided with efficient, reliable gas service on their gas appliances.
