Abstract: Early work by the Bureau of Mines showed that the vapor from an LNG spill does not disperse in ihe atmosphere in quite the same way as other materials which have been studied. The difference was attributed to the high density of the cold vapor arising from a spill the vertical mixing appeared to be suppressed.
