Abstract: In 1990s, we face lots of challenges. Challenges from competition, from changes in business environment and from technological changes. Challenges offer opportunities. To avail these opportunities one has to adapt to changes, understand changing business and customer needs and take advantage of technology as necessary business tools. We must be able to make faster and accurate decisions along with certain amount of risk. Our approach must not be purely short term or immediate. Just because certain process, procedure, functional/organizational structure, equipments, etc. are in working condition today, do not necessarily justify maintaining status-quo. We must continually evaluate everything we do, question why we do the way we do, look ahead to see where we are going and continually reprioritize our needs and refocus on our objective.
