Abstract: Because of the increased demand for more compact meter sats, meter manufacturers have concentrated much of their efforts, the past several years, to the design and development of rotary type meters. To satisfy this need for compactness, Rockwell has designed and developed two types of rotary meters, each having their own specific applications. These meters are the Roto-Seal Meter and the Turbo Meter. Here we will concern ourselves only with Roto-Seal. The Roto-Seal Meter having proved itself to meet the normal requirements for gas measurement, has also proven itself because of its compactness and proof stability, to be adaptable to a portable transfer proving system as a test standard.
