Abstract: Sonic nozzles have been used in the labortory for gas meter calibrations for several years. However, it has been only recently that sonic nozzles have been used to calibrate gas meters in the field. This paper gives information on sizing, installation, and proper usage of sonic nozzles for field calibrations of gas meters.
