Title: Calculation Of Meter Charts
Author: J. R. Bynum

Year Published: 1956
Abstract: The calculating of meter charts is simply the process of taking the quantity of gas measured at the meter and converting it into unit proportions as specified in the applicable contracts under which gas is purchased and sold. Information needed in the processing procedures to accomplish this purpose is derived from the contracts, the meter installation reports, and, of course, the charts themselves. In establishing office procedures consideration must be given to the different kinds of charts to be calculated, the type of machines to be used, and the experience and training of personnel employed, The reporting requirements of regulatory authorities and the accounting demands for company use also must be considered.
