Abstract: Chryslers commitment to quality is what our customers expiect from the cars and trucks that are used in their daily operations. We understand that quality is not just showroom quality. These vehicles are your long-term investment. Long life is what you expect. To deliver this quality is a process -it starts with the correct material specifications and design and the commitment to provide the tooling, resources, and technology to build and paint the vehicles to last. How long is long enough? Remember, just a few short years ago corrosion warranty was three years, and, today, Chrysler offers a five year/50,000 mile warranty against outer panel perforation. Knowing how long it takes to pay off a vehicle, we are not going to let it be a rusted out pile of junk when you have to make your last payment. So we are not satisfied with the 5/500,000. Today we are evaluating materials, processes, and designs that may last substantially beyond 5 years.
