Abstract: This is a description of the Rosemount Diogenes process control system in service at the Northern Natural Gas Ventura LNG plant. Principal uses of the system are for conventional process control, flow calculations and the switching of time controlled valves. A description of the plant process is included so applications of the control system are more easily understood by those unfamiliar with LNG plant operation.
