Abstract: This paper will discuss the fundamentals of the orifice recorder and application in the natural gas industry. in the natural gas industry, accounting for gas is of extreme importance. Gas measurement and gas accounting is the life line of any company engaged in the trading of natural gas. In natural gas measurement, the orifice recorder is the most widely used instrument for volume determination. The orifice recorder has been the principle device for natural gas measurement for many years. Orifice recorders are used by natural gas producers, transporters, distributors, and customers alike, in the roll of gas volume recording, calculation, and accounting. The orifice recorder has been popular many years as a result of its proven characteristics of accuracy, reliability, versatility, durability, and cost effectiveness.
