Abstract: This submission is to review the differences and uncertainties within API 10.4 & API 10.3 centrifuge methods and some of the contributing factors that are present. Discussion will include mitigation of the issues and improvements upon the expected accuracy, repeatability, and reproducibility. This is a compilation of information of what has been done throughout the years and the improvements that have been made such as temperature control, centrifuge tube design, equipment consistency, acceleration/deceleration and capability of achieving higher relative centrifugal force (RCF).
