Abstract: Two things are essential to accurate measurement with a meter: 1. A healthy meter which is performing the way it is supposed to, and 2. Accurate meter factors. So how do we know if we have either, or both, of these at any given time for any given meter?. Meter factor control charts and some other simple tools can be used to evaluate the performance of a meter, and to assess the accuracy of meter factors.
