Abstract: Compressor efficiency is noi the function of compressor design and operation alone bin also of the total system involving the compressor and the attached piping systems. This paper discusses some of these factors affecting compressor performance, such as pulsations, dynamic pressure drop, and the indirect effects of thermal flexibility and mechanical response calculations.
