Abstract: A meter prover is used to calibrate custody transfer mete rs to establish a meter factor. The volume that passes through the meter is compared to the prover volume during the time taken for a sphere or piston to pass between two detector switches. The prover volume must be accura tely determined by a calibration procedure known as the Water Draw method.
