Abstract: The orifice meter has been in used by the gas, oil and chemical industry for approximately 40 years and has proven to be a very accurate and dependable device for obtaining measurement of gases and liquids. The use of this type of meter is very desirable due to its flexibility in the measurement of small or large volumes at wide ranges of pressure from a vacuum to several thousands of pounds psig.
