Abstract: Sampling is described as obtaining a representative sample of a hydrocarbon stream under investigation. Any subsequent analysis of the sample, regardless of how elaborate or sophisticated the test apparatus, can only analyze what is in the sample container. This only emphasizes the importance of the total sampling operation.
