Abstract: The Orifice Fitting, Orifice Plate and Meter Tube are the main components which make up the primary element of an orifice metering installation with the orifice meter or flow computer as the sscondary device. Since in many cases these installations might be considered the cash registers, too much emphasis cannot be placed on the correct selection, manufacture, and use of the different components which make up the primary element. The secondary element can only record the signal it receives from the primary element, whether it be correct or incorrect.
