Abstract: This paper presents the findings of the systems protection committees investigation of existing damage prevention laws. It examines the different provisions and the history of their development. A summary of the provisions used in the laws is also included. The systems protection committee has spent several years examining damage prevention laws. We have obtained copies of the laws, studied iheir different provisions, looked at the theory behind those provisions, and attempted to evaluate their effectiveness. We found a wide variety of laws reflecting local conditions and special interests which may be of interest to you.
