Abstract: The Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990, the first revision of the Act in 13 years, will have sweeping and significant impacts on most U.S. industry, including the natural gas industry. Some provisions of the CAAA represent opportunities because of the clean characteristics of natural gas. Others, however, represent challenges to the gas industry as it must move to comply with the regulations now being written. This paper focuses on the implications for natural gas compressor stations.
