Abstract: There are many forms of uncertainty analysis being used in the world of metrology today. Analyses range in accuracy from very rough estimates with wide guard bands and lower confidence levels to very in depth, lengthy, statistical analyses, which provide more accurate error values with smaller guard bands and increased confidence. The former are kept basic to render the analysis applicable to a wide variety of calibration scenarios.
