Abstract: A gas pressure regulator may be defined as a mechanical device capable of maintaining gas pressures at a predetermined value regardless of variations in flow and inlet pressures to which it may be subjected. It must also be capable of satisfactory operations under adverse conditions such as extreme weather variations, pressure variations, as well as changes in composition of the gas being regulated. This necessitates the design of mechanical equipment essentially trouble-free under all conditions of operation as well as a unit designed for easy installation and repair.
