Abstract: The need for developing New Ideas in Measurement and Pressure regulation is necessary because of the high cost of gas, labor, equipment and miscellaneous items. It is imperative that all gas be measured, unaccounted for gas be kept low and that customer sales and purchases are accurate New aids or ideas that come to the gas industry each year are very much appreciated because each one enables performance of a better job. Often, it might appear that the gas industry is slow to take over and put these new ideas into use. but years of experience has proved present equipment to be rugged and long-lasting and this contributes to the fact that there is some hesitation to make a major change to new ideas and not because the gas industry is against progress.
