Abstract: With the advent of on-site electronic flow computers we in the chart processing end of our industry are sometimes overlooked by management when attempts are made to modernize our chart processing operations. But, as the cost versus benefit factors rise to the surface, this writer believes modernizing the chart processing departments will provide a much more economical and accurate result than on-site EFM devices - with one very important plus - the chart provides an excellent audit trail. In fact, the measurement chart is the only audit which can be re-calculated and reevaluated time and time again.
