Abstract: At the beginning of the 1928 meter school, the general committee of the school saw fit to appoint a committee to be known as the Approved Methods Committee, the purpose of which committee was to investigate all present known methods of installation, operation, maintenance and repair of meter, regulators, and apparatus for specific gravity determination, with the idea of approving certain methods for each class and kind of equipment.
