Abstract: In the present energy shortage facing the industrial nations of the world, one of the most prominent sources of energy in the news is LNG. LNG is an abbreviation of liquefied natural gas, generally defined as a natural gas which has been liquefied by cooling and is stored at a pressure slightly above atmospheric pressure. LNG is particularly adaptable and suitable for the two important sectors of residential heating load and a pollution-free fuel for power plants. LNG projects divide into the two (2) main categories of peak-shaving and base-load plants
