Abstract: The financial security of the gas company is, to a great extent, dependent on the accuracy of its meters. The improvements in the meter shops and meter shop practices have been a major factor in improving meter accuracies as well as life expectancies. Meetings, such as this one, help us attain a better understanding not only of meter design and repair but it gives a closer relationship between the men who design and make meters and the men who repair and make them work.
