Abstract: Hydrogen sulfide is measured in the natural gas industry for three main reasons: 1. Personal Safety 2. Corrosion Control 3. Contractual Obligations Hydrogen sulfide is a colorless gas with a characteristic rotten egg odor. It is nearly as toxic as hydrogen cyanide, which is used in death chambers in some states for capital punishment.
