Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to examine the positive displacement (PD) meter. The emphasis will be on the factors influencing the design and performance of the meter for liquid petroleum measurement. However, these factors can be applied to other liquids as well. Also included are discussions on PD meter enhancements that will increase the PD meters performance.
