Abstract: Ultrasonic flow measurement systems (UFMs) are being applied with increasing frequency to hydrocarbon flow measurements. Most of these UFM s are transit time (also called time-of-flight) systems--they measure the transit time of ultrasonic energy pulses traveling with and against the direction of flow.
