Abstract: A dichotomy formed and inadvertently turned into standard practice in the flow measurement engineering business. The present school of thought is that there is a distinction between liquid phase and (gas) vapor phase hydrocarbon flow conditioning, metering, and flow measurement. The distinction is Reynolds Number, not Phase.
