Abstract: This piper will provide the reader with a general over view of the Methods, applications, and equipment now being utilized in monitoring and controlling gas distribution and transmission systems. Gas distribution and transmission companies have within their organization departments which are responsible for the monitoring and controlling of pressures, flow rates and volumes. These departments are commonly refered to as gas control and the individuals in these departments trm referred to as dispatchers.
