Title: Meter Run Sequencing - Multiple Runs
Author: John L. Gerwig

Abstract: Multiple run gas measurement stations are installed because one meter is incapable of handling the required high and low flow rates. Also, some company policies may dictate that a particular meter type (i.e. rotary meter) must be installed with a parallel meter. This reasoning has developed because of the fear of single meter failure in a manner that would block downstream delivery. When possible, it is best to install one accurate meter.
