Abstract: This paper presents the theory and development of a tunable light emitting diode (LED) system, designed for bio-chemical test applications. The tunable LED test system is designed to specifically test the spectral responsivity of the photomultiplier tubes used in bio-chemical agent detection systems, which are subjected to continual ultraviolet irradiance for long periods at a time.
