Abstract: Experiments and CFD analysis were performed to investigate the effect of thermal inertia of the sonic nozzle body on the discharge coefficients. Two identical 5 mm toroidal throat critical flow Venturi nozzles with different body weight and geometry were used for the experiments and CFD investigations. Results indicate that thermal inertia of the nozzle body alters the discharge coefficients especially for higher Re
