Abstract: The Louisiana Offshore Oil Port, Inc, (LOOP Ino.) measures the water content of over TiOO, OfKl ,000 barrels of crude oil per year using the water by distillation method (ASTH U-400fS) . Water determination by distillation was chosen because of some measurement problems built into the LOOls system.
