Abstract: The hydrocarbon dew point temperature is one of many parameters that must be monitored as a part of controlling the overall quality of the gas. Other parameters that are typically monitored include gas composition, heating value (BTU content), and relative density (specific gravity) just to name a few. The Hydrocarbon Dew Point Temperature in natural gas will vary for a variety of reasons. There are various methods used to control the hydrocarbon dew point temperature in the gas and there are also different instrument types and methods available to measure the hydrocarbon dew point temperature. In this paper, we will discuss the requirement for control of the Hydrocarbon Dew Point in Natural Gas and will summarize the various techniques and devices used for the determination of the Hydrocarbon Dew Point.
