Abstract: Recent events in the transportation of natural gas have created a strong interest in electronic measurement. Gas measurement personnel are used to dealing with the mechanical aspect of gas measurement but some orientation is necessary to properly understand the electronic aspect of gas measurement. This presentation will introduce you to the terms needed for understanding electronics in gas measurement and then explain the functioning of the major electronic components used in the measurement of natural gas.
