Abstract: In this paper, the authors cover the basics of underground natural gas storage, chiefly in depleted dry gas reservoirs. Gas storage in defined and a brief history is presented followed by a discussion of the main geologic and economic factors involved in reservior selection. The last part of the paper contains an abbreviated look at pool development.
