Abstract: Union Gas is currently replacing an obsolete mapping and record keeping system with an Automated Mapping and Facilities Management (AM/FM) system. This paper briefly describes the system being installed and from a Users perspective outlines the benefits of the system to personnel responsible for the Construction and Maintenance of the distribution system. The paper also discusses future plans of the project which will have a direct impact on the Construction and Maintenance personnel.
