Abstract: A Pycnometer (PYC) is a device the has a known evacuated volume and weight so when fully filled with product, the device can be weighed to find density Temperature and pressure are also taken to add correction factors to the product and to the PYC. Density determined from the PYC is then compared to density reading from densitometer to create a density correction factor or density meter factor (known as a DCF or DMF) PYC calibrations are typically done on product with a vapor pressure 1400Kpa or higher
